A Personal Assistant works closely with the employer and has been referred to as the Social Secretary or Executive Assistant. This person is responsible for the personal, professional and household needs of the employer(s). This person usually will have more of a one on one relationship with the employer while taking care of scheduling appointments, arranging and organizing special events, errand running, managing household bills, making travel arrangements, and managing the household calendar. Most Personal Assistants have at least a Bachelor's Degree as well as professional corporate experience. They also have well developed computer and organizational skills. Most of the candidates have direct experience working as a Personal Assistant.


  The salary for a Personal Assistant will vary depending on the amount of experience and education that a candidate brings into a position, and the hours and duties that are included in the position. The average Personal Assistant typically earns between $20 to $40 per hour, plus benefits.
