SNN's Senior Companion Program does the 'work' to find professional companions for your family including:

The firm charges a one-time placement fee equal to 15% of the companion's gross annual salary.

In the event a good candidate may not have specific disease experience, SNN advises simple things to the family like having them pay for a candidate to take a class to understand it. * Upfront fees - For families not ready to hire a non-medical companion but want to be 'ready' in case of an emergency, SNN will conduct a Family Application for $250 and keep it on file. In case of an emergency, all the family needs to do is to make one phone call, and the search begins immediately. Once a placement is made, the $250 is credited toward the placement fee. SNN also offers corporate discounts of 10%.
